LADY BEATS

Lady beats, a stunning duo composed of renown canadian DJ, Abeille Gélina, and multi percussionist, Mélissa Lavergne, will be making sure to keep a festive ambience throughout the weekend. They will be on the spinning tables from the Thursday August 23rd opening party all the way to the last events on Sunday the 26th.

 

VALÉRIE PLANTE: HONORARY PARTICIPANT

In addition to being able to count on Montreal's commitment to promoting the event internationally, ITU Montreal is fortunate to welcome Mayor Valérie Plante as a BDC Challenge honorary participant. For a second year, she will take part in relay triathlon alongside Alain Vaillancourt, borough councilor for Projet Montréal and his daughter, Elysa Vaillancourt, on Saturday, August 25th.

 

OUR NEW SPOKESPERSON: JEAN-PHILIPPE WAUTHIER

 

 


Radio host Jean-Philippe Wauthier will take part in the Night Race on Friday night! Part-time triathlete, he will participate in this race, since he is the official ambassador.

 

A TEAM OF OLYMPIAN AND PARALYMPIAN ATHLETES


A team of Olympian and Paralympian athletes will also be on the starting line of the BDC Challenge. The team consists of Benoît Huot, multiple Paralympic swimming champion, who will perform the swimming portion, and Marianne St-Gelais, triple Olympic medalist in short track speed skating, who will run the distance of 5km. Both were present at the unveiling. To complete this trio Alexandre Despaties, will take on the bike portion of the Challenge.
