The 2021 edition of the Groupe Copley World Triathlon looks very promising.
With the current health context and due to the numerous restrictions that are still in place, we have taken the decision, jointly with our federations, to postpone the 2021 Groupe Copley World Triathlon to guarantee all our participants and our team a safe competition that will be approved by the Public Health authorities.
We are pleased to inform you that the 2021 edition of the Groupe Copley World Triathlon will take place and will be held from August 13 to 15.
We hope this new date fits your calendar!
All Age Group events are maintained but moved to this new date.
The following changes apply:
WTCS - individual and mixed relay
The elite event is maintained but moved to August 14-15, 2021
PATCO – American Cup
The race is maintained but moved to August 15, 2021.
A final decision will be made by Triathlon Canada over the next few months.
Qualifications for the 2022 World Championships
We retain the qualifying spots for the Age Group World Championships to be held in Montreal, CAN, (sprint), Abu Dhabi, UAE, (super-sprint) and Townsville, AUS, (duathlon) in 2022.
Sprint triathlon and duathlon events as well as the U13 and U15 triathlons will still be part of the Quebec Cup. The race is therefore maintained but moved to August 13 and 14, 2021.
The event originally scheduled for June 23 and 24, 2021 is cancelled. The new date was impossible to maintain, since most of the athletes will be attending the Tokyo Paralympic Games at that time. We wish them the best of luck.
Please be aware that our priority remains the participants, and we will keep you regularly informed, in a spirit of responsibility and transparency. If you have any further questions, please contact email@example.com.
We look forward to seeing you on our courses!
